Togher Rock School held it’s first summer rock camp here at the centre over the last two weeks of July. It was a great success & congrats to everybody who took part. 7 new bands were formed by students from Togher Music School & musicians outside the school. Many of the participants had no previous band experience. They learned songs from a variety of bands including ACDC, Thin Lizzy, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Muse & Kasabian...

The camp was run by two teachers from TMS; Dave Donovan & Xavier Lutz. On the 6th of August the new bands performed an excellent showcase gig in the centre & a great night was had by all. Thanks also to the families & friends of the various band members for all their generous vocal support on the night - true fans indeed!

Next summer’s rock camp will be bigger & better... rumor has it band’s may record next year... so get your name down early as places are limited. Further details are available from the office on 021 4322809 or email togherrockschool@gmail.com with your contact details.
